Today, Monsieur Wanie handed back the "Aventure en foret / L'avalanche" tests to the class and went over the corrections to be certain everyone understood what needs work on the next test...
As well, classes completed the census handed-down from the Board Office...

Jeudi, il fait clair mais sans soleil...
Today, Monsieur Wanie outlined the upcoming oral presentation. It will be evaluated so that one part of the grade goes to French oral ability and the other to "Geographie".
Students took up a "Geo" assignment that apparently Monsieur Wanie needed to clarify and re-assign, on the "sectors of industry".
Monsieur Wanie will be away tomorrow and Monday so there's a day-plan for each day posted on the whiteboard for students to follow with the supply teacher...
Note: Students, check this Wikipedia list for tons of Canadian businesses and industries!

Mardi, un peu froid!
Before school, Monsieur Wanie's room was packed with students who were in to get extra time on their tests. Just goes to show how many students care about their studies and are interested in getting good grades! Lots of bonus marks handed-out today!
During the school day, students worked on their Korthalsaltes website shapes. The first one is due tomorrow! Some students were already working on their futuristic houses... lots of great plans out there!
As well today, students began reading their latest French novels, "En motoneige" and "Les eaux dangeureuses"...

Vendredi, les entrevues!
With students taking a long weekend, Monsieur Wanie had the opportunity to meet with parents on both Thursday evening and Friday morning.
Parents, thanks so much for coming in! It was a pleasure to meet all of you and tell you how well your kids are doing at Winona! Clearly, your care and attention as parents makes kids who perform well at school, are polite and have a positive attitude towards their studies and life!
Students, you have lots of choices to make regarding high schools and many more "fun" assignments and projects coming up! Keep up the good work!
Parents: should you need to talk to Monsieur Wanie, his email is: andrew.wanie@tdsb.on.ca

Vendredi, le jour du souvenir.
Today is Remembrance Day, (Veterans Day for our friends to the south)... lest we forget. Winona has a nice, bright, new flag today... set a half-mast.
Many students were involved in the presentation so students who were in class worked on their "Geo". Great presentation, by the way!
In the afternoon, class 86 played a "letters game" and then worked on their "Geographie" and 3D art assignment...
Thursday, November 10, 2011
