La neige arrive!

So, today, Monsieur Wanie collected "Histoire, Chapitre 5" and officially assigned the new "Geographie" chapter. Details below.

Jeudi, le soleil et le gris.

Students worked most of the day to complete their "Histoire, Chapitre 5" unit due tomorrow.

Monsieur Wanie gave some clarification on questions #1 and #6.

As well, Monsieur assigned a bit of homework for over the weekend: Find a rail-served industry that operated in Toronto or Ontario. Figure out what the industry did and find some (aerial) photos of it. The idea is to figure out what, where and how to incorporate said industries to the classroom layout.

Mercredi un peu froid...

Today, students had pool today. It was great to see that most students are participating.

In the afternoon, students had their last "Geographie" units handed back and worked on the "Histoire" unit due Friday.

As an aside, some students have fallen a unit behind. Please make sure you come in early for extra help when necessary!

Lundi, un peu gris.

Today, students had their "Comte de Monte Christo" test corrected. As well, students had an opportunity to work on their "Histoire" unit due Friday. And Monsieur Wanie gave another lecture on the colonization of the West.

Yesterday, students visited Oakwood C. I. Hopefully everyone had a fun time!

Today, students had another period to work on their "Comte de Monte Christo" test.

As well, students worked on their "Geographie" due tomorrow.

As well, students began working on the "Comte the Monte Christo" test. Students will likely have two periods to work on it.

Lundi, un tout petit peu de soleil.

Thanks to all parents and guardians who came to meet Monsieur Wanie on Thursday evening and Friday morning! It was great to have so many people in to say hello and discuss how successful the kids have been this year so far!

Today in class, students had the opportunity to work on the latest "Geographie" chapter. As well,  students went over the last "Comte de Monte Christo" quiz in preparation for the next one! Assessment as learning! Whoo hoo!

Mercredi, le soleil brille!

Today, students had an opportunity to finish off their "Comte de Monte Christo" quiz. Monsieur Wanie graded them right away and handed them back so students would have their notebooks for their "Histoire" unit due tomorrow.

As well, Monsieur Wanie gave a lecture on "Terre Neuve et Labrador" and the reasons they rejected at first, and finally joined, Confederation.

And finally, Monsieur Wanie gave a lecture on the "Levels of Industry" and their relation to the classroom railroad for the project students will be engaged in over the next eight or so weeks...

So, today both classed had their Vaughan Road and Oakwood high school presentations.

As well, Monsieur Wanie went over question number 4 in "Geographie" and students had a period to work on "Le Compte de Monte Christo" for the quiz coming up.

Students, note the due-date for the "Histoire" assignment has been changed to Thursday, November 15th!

Today, Monsieur Wanie began the discussion on this week's "Geographie".
