Jeudi, le soleil finalement!

Today, students had their "Tex and Tammy" homework corrected. Students participated in getting the answers put up on the white-board. Monsieur Wanie assigned the next three pages in the series to complete over the long weekend.

As well, students had an opportunity to work on the "Histoire" jump-start folders. Students completed another note-taking exercise and should be ready for the quiz coming up. (Surprise!)

Hopefully, everyone has a safe and fun long weekend! Students, Monsieur Wanie suggests you get your homework done before you go out to play!

Adeline said...

Our canadian company thing is due monday right ?

Anonymous said...

Hey Leda I'm not mr.wanie but you are right for the endings of ir verbs. maybe the website was messed up because i'm sure you are right. when i used those endings it marked it right

Anonymous said...

Hey on the last page vir3 the ending are like that because they are irregular verbs. i hope that helps.

Carol said...

Are you going to go through the history notebook with us before the quiz?

Anonymous said...

Hey adeline its najat yah the canadian company project is due monday

Anonymous said...

OMG mr. wanie s going to be so proud of us, helping eachother out like this. :)

Adeline said...

Isabelle said...

No, you guys in vir2 I'm positive (because I wrote it down in my agenda, right monsieur wanie!) you have to do 12x2

Isabelle said...

It's
vir1: 12
vir2: 12x2
vir3: 12
And I'm not sure about the history, Carol, but I think we should at least study our 40 points for now

Adeline said...

Sarah said...

Adeline said...

Kids: Wow! It's so great to see so many comments! And like Najat said, everyone is helping each other out! Okay, so the only questions that are unanswered: Najat: You need to know the definition of the verbs, yes. Maya: Joni Mitchell is yours to do. Leda: try again, those look to be the correct endings. Carol: yes, I will go through the notebook with you! Anh: the last of the "Histoire" keywords are due January 2nd. Caitlin: No, you don't need to but if you think it would add to your presentation, sure! Adeline: Fill your presentation with whatever you like... Sarah: Get as close to 3 min as possible.

I have no idea HOW I am going to fill up three minutes. We need so much information!!!

Anonymous said...

Do we have to hand in our notes on the jump start history booklets and if so when, and will we have more time to work on them,

DRU said...

Lilly: Remember, showing and explaining your bristol board takes a bit of time too. Don't worry, you'll be fine.

Neve: I will want to see your notes on the "Histoire" jump-start folders at the end of next week. You'll have some group work to do and the quiz will be the following week...

What are some things I can include in my oral presentation? My company is in the tertiary industry.

Peri said...

what canadiens are not chosen from the grandscanadiens

Peri said...

is pamela anderson taken ????

DRU said...

Jennifer: What does your company do? Who started it and when. Who buys from them and why. How many locations are there and where...

Peri: Choose someone else.

Isabelle said...

Leda, my assumption is that in vir2 you must have used the regular ir endings instead of the irregular (which is regular er for those) My suggestion for everyone is to copy down the charts and passages before the fill in the blanks as they make excellent study notes. If that helps.

Anonymous said...

hey mr wanie if we are gonna say what companies does our... like my topic is canadian tire... so if i were to say where does canadian tire get their products does that company have to be canadian as well?

Isabelle said...

Do you have to display everything you say about the company on the bristol board? Or can it just be pictures and symbols with like a caption underneath explaining why its related to the company while you're talking about it?

Julia said...

Mr. Wanie isn't January 2nd the holidays so how can the key words be do?

Anonymous said...

hey mr.wanie if my company makes their fod and sells it under the same name then which sector is it secondary or tertiary? oh im doing mccains

Anonymous said...

*food

Isabelle said...

I've looked everywhere I could but the company I'm doing (Roots) doesn't name the factories it works with for confidential and counterfeit reasons. What should I do?

Isabelle said...

Also, do you have to axplain all of the company's products and materials? Like, obviously my company has cotton, wool, leather, etc. But is it okay if I do the Primary/secondary/tertiary stuff just for the leather or do I have to find the Primary/secondary sectors for cotton, wool, etc. too?

Anonymous said...

Mr.Wanie is it alright if my pictures are in black and white, because I don't have a colour printer.

DRU said...

Leya: It's not important to say where they get their products.

Isabelle: You choose what's on your bristol board. You just explain what your company does not where they get their cotton goods...

Najat: Primary and secondary.

Julia: Oops... the 9th of January.

Anonymous said...

wait you did say the pictures have to be drawn right? or can they be printed out? cant remember what u said... bad memory.

Anonymous said...

my my. lots of comments!!!

M.I.A. said...

i don't think i was here when you taught us about primary/secondary/tertiary stuff and i'm kinda clueless as to what that is...i can't find any notes on it and i haven't even been able to look at the project requirements until now because i've been sooo busy this week with OTHER homework i have to catch up on.i was wondering if i could have an extension?

Isabelle said...

Sorry to bother you again, but is it okay that I just put local factories for the primary sectors as my company does not name them?
Leya: All I know is that we're supposed to print out a picture of our person then we draw it

mabicco s-k said...

Mr wanie can I get an extension for the industrie presentations cause I have had limited access to my computer merci

Leya: Print the picture out so we can draw them in class.

Isabelle: Stick to the industry you're presenting!

Mabicco: Until Tuesday.
