Today was the due-date for both "Histoire, Chapitre 4" and "Geographie- les gens au travail". Students handed-in their work and Monsieur Wanie assigned and explained the next "Histoire" unit: "La colonisation de la Riviere Rouge". Monsieur Wanie conducted a lengthy overview and discussion of the chapter. Students participated actively and began working on answering the questions and researching the chapter.

Hey Mr.Wanie for the book report I don't really understand what we are supposed to write for the opinions-pensees. I kow that means thoughts and opinions but I don't know what I am supposed to do.
hey mr.wanie for the thought and opinions thing is their a minimum?
Hey Mr. Wanie,
I was just wondering for the book report summary, is it a summary to get someone interested to read it, like on the back of the book? Or can we put the ending in our summary?
Thanks , Katie :)
Mr.Wanie also for the book report my summary doesn't really fit in the space for the summary. I've tried to shorten it but there is alot of info I have to include. Should I put it on the back?
Lilly: It's a creative writing piece that you base on the book you've read. Does the story remind you of another book you've read, a movie you've seen, something that's happened to you in real life... whatever you like.
Najat: Yes, fill the half-page, no skipping lines.
Katie: Just let us know what it's about. Make sure I can tell you've read the whole book!
Lilly: If you can't fit it in the space provided, you need to edit it down more carefully.
I know Najat already asked if there is a minimum, but is there a maximum?? Can I go a little bit over half a page??
Katie are you talking about the opinion part? Mr.Wanie told me that one or two lines max on the back!

Katie: a bit. Like Leda said (Thanks Leda!) two or three lines over is fine. But don't write me a whole new novel please!
what if your book doesn't remind you of anything?
hi. for the clothing work, we had to write about a childs day at work in 1866. well i wrote a whole page. is that too much or good enough? because you did say a whole day in the factory. so for me thats called writing alot.
hi leya I'm pretty sure its a day in the life of a factory worker in the 1860s
yeah it doesn't really HAVE to be a child, and I'm pretty sure 1 whole page might be a bit much. I only did, like, half a page. But thats just my opinion. Hopefully Mr.Wanie will get back to you soon...
Sarah: If your book doesn't remind you of anything, it must at least make you "think" of something!
Leya: Describing the day in the life of a worker in 1860, child or otherwise... that was your assignment. A whole page seems like a lot...
Lilly: Thanks, exactly.
Can I have an extension on all the work please I had a basketball tournament and am trying my best to finish everything!
Julia: Yes, but I want to see what you've done so far...
