Today, Monsieur Wanie went over the "Geographie" assignments with students and had some more discussion about the elements involved. Students spent some time brainstorming, working in groups and using their keyword notes to write down their thoughts in preparation for building answers to the questions. The due-date is Friday the 9th of March.
Students also spent some time reading their French novels...
Note: the due-date for the "Tex and Tammy" grammar from the University of Texas is Monday the 5th of March.

Monsieur Wanie I know you explained the 9th question really well (about the problems the Metis would have with the disappearance of the buffalo and taking up farming) but I was wondering if there was any deeper information? And I don't really understand the supplies and tools they will need and stuff. Thanks!
Isabelle
Yeah thats what I was going to ask too... about what tools and skills they would need to take up farming
Mr. Wanie,
I know you told us that we shouldn't ask you questions the night before, but I was just wondering: for #9a) do we write 1 paragraph for each point? Or 1 paragraph: total?
Thanks, Katie

for the geography do we have to write the questions on the page or can we just write the answers?

Isabelle and Lilly: You must imagine that the Canadian government of the time, just expected the Metis and the First Nations people to settle down and become farmers though they had neither the experience, the instruction, the equipment (plows and shovels for instance), nor the money to invest these things as well as in seeds... You wouldn't be far off for thinking Canada wanted to put the First Nations people through the same hardships they had gone through when they first arrived on the praries...
Katie: One big paragraph.
Caitlin: Yup.
Georgia: Yup.
Gigi: Yup.
Anh: Yup.
Jahmylla: Yup.
Leya: Just the answers please.
Carol: Yup.
