Buenos Dias SeƱor Wanie, I finished my project and I will present it next week. Dominican Republic is super fun and I am learning a lot about the culture. Today we visited my cousin/aunt's school for a presentation/fashion show. My dad and I also almost got lost going to the supermarket to buy some goat. I probably won't be able to get a magnet here, for we are in a very small village that doesn't even have running water (except for the stream which people clean themselves in) or proper roads, and I don't even think many people have fridges, so there is no point in fridge magnets. Tomorrow is independence day in Dominican Republic so there will be a carnival tomorrow celebrating it. I will try to take as many pictures as possible and I already have some pictures that I might be able to show the class.
I really like this video. I think that it is very deep, powerful and touching. I agree that everyone should watch it because it has a strong message that I think people, especially kids and teens, should hear. I like the way that this video accentuates the issue of bullying. This video makes a strong impact on the people that watch it because it provides inspiration for kids who are being bullied in school. I also really like the animation in this video. The illustrations really helped me understand how people who are bullied feel. I think that this video has huge potential to raise awareness of this issue. Even the way the narrator speaks is motivational because his words are strong and clear. Overall, I think that this video is a great way spread awareness about bullying. It tells kids and teens who are being bullied to stand up and tell themselves that they are who they are, and no words can ever change that.
Katie: Your comment is very well expressed. As a reminder to students: Never let a bullying issue go unresolved. Let an adult or a friend know what's going on, get help immediately when or if you need it!
