Today, students worked on their "La peur de ma vie" novel in preparation for the test on Tuesday.
As well, students worked on their "Geo" and "Histoire" assignments. The current "Histoire" assignment is outlined below.
"Histoire, Chapitre 3, En marche vers la confederation".
Questions: VTC: #1, 2, 4. ATC: #4. Mots Cles: #1-6
a rendre vendredi le 22 novembre
Some students in 87 wanted some help for question #11, here are some good maps. Although the percentages of land use aren't indicated, you can get a general idea of the values by looking at the legend.

As well, this evening and tomorrow morning are reserved for parent-teacher interviews!

Hi Mr. Wanie,
on geography chapter 3 "Nos Empreintes: comment les etres humains utilisent la terre" Question 5 it asks to write a paragraph that outlines the advantages and disadvantages of living in EITHER a rural or urban area.
Does that mean we have to pick one or the other? and if so do we get extra marks for doing both? and another question.
For question 4 where it asks you what land uses in figure 3.19 would you want close or not close to your home, it says 2 for each do we get extra marks if we do MORE
thanks in advance
Christine, you didn't attach the image properly on your blog so it isn't visible, at least on my computer it isn't.
If anyone needs it, just copy and paste the link below.

I fixed it, thanks for telling me! Mine is based on the maps Monsieur Wanie posted.
thanks Anna and Christine!
i was wondering if anyone knew the word for arable (as in arable land) in french?
It's in géo chapitre 1.
arable = arable
thanks christine
Hi its sam i was wondering what do we compare the pie chart to so we can find out if toronto fits the typical pattern of a canadian city?
Hi Monsieur Wanie! I will be coming in early tomorrow morning to discuss a few things.
-Claire Radner 8-7
Hi Alex: Points for doing both but you only need one.
Kids: Great that you're all using the blog to help each other out!
Sam: Compare Christine's awesome pie chart to the one in the textbook.
Claire: Cool, see you then!
Monsieur Wanie, in the textbook when it talks about the circus it says it in english so i was wondering if i should keep it in english or translate it.
Also, for number 4 in ATC, can I write newspaper headlines for events from this chapter instead of key words. Also, if I can't then can you explain how you write a newspaper headline for délégués
Hey Monsieur Wanie, i was wondering, for our geo assignment, did the feniens have anything to do with the great coalition, if so, what was it?
Eric, the question is to select 5 or 6 key events from the chapter and write newspaper headlines on them, not on the key words. Unless I'm missing something here.
Also monsieur Wanie, why did the french and english in BNA have a hard time agreeing on things?
Eric: The circus? Uh, not sure where it talks about that. Regarding your second question, better come in early to get it all straightened out.
Max: The Fenians didn't so much have anything to do with the Great Coalition as prove that protection from external threats (the US for example) and internal threats (the Feniens, another revolt) was necessary. The French and British didn't agree because of language, religious and cultural differences...
Thanks Monsieur Wanie, and so, to solve that, Macdonald, Brown and Cartier decided to give them extra seats in the charlotte town conference?
Max: Yup, you got it.
Mr.Wanie can you use a key word more than once?
Eric: Yup.
Bonjour Monsieur wanie
