Hey Monsieur Wanie, for question 3 ATC, I was thinking about doing the Canadian Confederation, the Charlottetown Conference, and the construction of the railway through canada, are those ok?
Sam: Newfoundland and Labrador are lumped together for the purpose of this unit... Early on we see isolated fishing villages, self sufficient with no need to join Confederation. Later on, we see the debt incurred by infrastructure building to support shipping and Canada's war effort in both World Wars...
also m.wanie, for question 10.a) where you have to "find cities in Ontario where the population exceeds 250 000, can I use the 2011 data or do I have to find 2013 data?
Eric: You can call farms and fields that grow things we can eat, productive agricultural land. Look at google earth. Farms look like rectangular shapes of grass whereas forests are irregularly shaped and don't look "groomed". And 2011 data is fine.
Also M.Wanie can I use this map of Ontario and zoom in so it's more focused on Southern Ontario http://www.mcscs.jus.gov.on.ca/stellent/groups/public/@mcscs/@www/@com/documents/webasset/~export/EC090983~7~MCSCS_DCT~MCSCS_Layout_Template/144290-4.jpg
Actually never mind M.Wanie I found something, but for anyone else who is stuck here is a good website link: http://www.canadianliving.com/life/best_new_product_awards/photo_gallery__the_2013_best_new_product_awards___winners_in_the_food_and_beverage_category-1.php#top_nav_slide
M. Wanie for question 1 where you have to "Describe in your own words the meaning of the following terms. Explain how each is connected to one of the key areas of: agriculture, urbanization, industrialization or transportation." Can you please tell me if the categories I put the "terms" into fits? Données Démographiques - Urbanisation? Productivité - Industriel? Mondialisation - Urbanisation? Agriculture de Précision - Agriculture? Sociétés Transnationales - Industriel? Combustible de remplacement - Transportation
M. Wanie, in class today in regards to my question about whether my map was finished or not, you said that there were other places in Ontario that had more than 250 000 people, so I did some research and this link I found, only has the ones that were already on my map. http://www12.statcan.gc.ca/census-recensement/2011/as-sa/fogs-spg/Facts-pr-eng.cfm?Lang=eng&GC=35
Also M.Wanie, for question #3 where you have to create a poster that includes sketches and text boxes to illustrate several ways of bringing agriculture into the city." can I do a full page poster about a greenhouse?
