This morning, Monsieur Wanie worked with 86 and 87 to correct yesterday's verb worksheet. Actually, students did most of the work. It was all very well done with just a few errors...
In the afternoon, both classes did a new worksheet using some of the common irregular verbs.
And last thing in the day, Monsieur Ferron and Monsieur Wanie had a meeting with the 164 students participating in the 2010 Arowhon (sic) trip. Parents, just a "heads-up", there are a bunch of forms that were handed out to the kids, that need to be filled out with medical, allergy, personal info and such...

Lundi, il fait tres beau!
Wow, what a great weekend weather-wise! Looks like this week will be great too!
In class, 86 and 87 worked on an "ER, IR, and RE" verb assignment. The idea is to choose the correct verb and then it's correct form so the sentences make sense... a great activity to encourage using the dictionary and practice verb conjugation!
In the afternoon, 86 did some railplanning for scenery on the railroad...

Jeudi soleil et frais!
This morning, 87 worked very hard at getting the backdrop to the railway put up and the big hill nearer to completion. It looks awesome! The small hill is finished and looks cool too!
In the afternoon, Monsieur Wanie went over the "Histoire, Chapitre 7" questions with both 86 and 87. Students, you need to read the chapter over your long weekend so you can participate in the discussion on Monday!

Students made sure their agendas were up to date today, for those who were away:

1:87 scale "building mock-up" due Wednesday, March 24th.
"Novel triple project" due Thursday, April 1st (April Fools Day).
In the afternoon, all classes were invited over to Oakwood for a "Facebook" presentation...
Both 86 and 87 made some excellent progress on the classroom railroad today!

Mardi, frais dehors.
This morning, just a few students brought their interview request forms back. Students, don't go thinking you can schedule an interview at the requested time by bringing it to Monsieur Wanie at 3pm on Thursday afternoon! Get 'em in "tout de suite"!
Many students are still having issues finishing the "Memory Key" scale net drawings. Use the library computers! 87 had a last period with the French novels before they get started with the associated projects...
A busy workday!
Don't forget about the Facebook thingy tomorrow afternoon at Oakwood! And 86 should remember to bring their swim stuff!

Lundi, le Canada est fier!
So, today everyone came in hyped up about Canada's performance at the Olympics... great coverage on TV, great performances from Canada's athletes and all involved in Vancouver. An awesome Oly-Games!
That high was somewhat crushed first thing this morning by the "Galop du Templier" test but even more so by the "Abuse" assembly... Yikes!
Anyway, both 86 and 87 did their tests and received their report cards. Hopefully all students are proud of their term, Monsieur Wanie is proud of both classes! Term 2 was a toughie! A reminder that any student who received a 60% or lower in any class or subject-strand should have their parents or guardians come in for an interview to discuss strategies to bring the grades back up. An interview request form went home in the envelope with every report card.
Students, don't forget your memory keys for tomorrow! (Hmm, that's funny... don't forget your "Memory" key, get it?)
