Today, 86 and 87 started working on their "Recit d'aventure" assignment. Students are to write a short (2 page max) French story describing an adventure or experience that they have had... This term, classes will begin to focus more on grammar structures, verbs and verb tenses and vocabulary. Students are asked to refrain from using online translators for French grammar assignments.
As well, students in both classes had an elective period to work on projects due next week.

i realize this event/experience must be true, nothing in my life is worth writing a story about so would be okay if extend the truth just a little bit in one scenario?
In the geography, for question 5, how many examples of products we buy and sell to the other country should we include?
- Esme
Ice: I know for a fact that there are things in your life that are worth writing about... you may not think so but it's all about what others will think... I'd rather you not extend the truth too much, exaggeration is fine, lying is not.
Ez: 20 total gets you an "A".
for the recit d'adventure assignment is it okay that what i'm writing about is a trip that happened in the past not an adventure?
Me and Michelle can't find any information on the trade 50 years ago between Canada and japan/Germany.
Are there any websites you know that would have it?
Ravi: Yup, that's fine!
Kailan and Michelle:
Here's the best one:

Here's a big one: http://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.com/index.cfm?PgNm=TCE&Params=A1ARTA0004037

None of these websites seem to have specific products that were traded in the 1960s. Some of them list things have been sold more recently, and say their sale has risen since the 1960s. Others say what Canada used to export, but they don't say where they were sent or what they imported from specific other countries.
If we couldn't find anything about 50 years ago, can we change it to 20 years ago?
-Michelle
in geography question 11, is it 20 for competences, experience and attitude, or 20 in total?
I'm pretty sure it's 20 in total for question 11.
Ez: Just use what is imported now, it's mostly the same. It may be easier...
Michelle: Yes.
Ella: 20 total.
I checked pretty much all the imported stuff is the same like woods, metals, oils etc but I dont know about what's exported.
