Wow, kids, how fast did that summer go by!?
Anyway, a new year has begun, with two new groups of 8s. Welcome to Monsieur Wanie's World, students!
In class we've been taking care of some paperwork and financial stuff, hopefully everything comes back to Winona correctly filled-out, paid-up, etc, by Friday.
Students have also been working on a "folded-paper assignment". It's a good first activity and an opportunity for Monsieur Wanie to learn about students themselves as well as assess where students are in their French writing abilities... Due tomorrow morning!
In the afternoon, students began reading a short story called "Il fait quoi ton papa?". It's the first of many pieces of French literature students will be using to work on their comprehension skills...
Students in 86 have been asked to bring an English reading book to class tomorrow or borrow one from the library.

Hello Monsieur Wanie,
This is Isabeau Lewis. I'm just posting this comment to make sure everything works when I post from my student google account. Also, is there any homework for today (Thursday, September 4th)?
Thanks,
Isabeau
Hello Monsieur Wanie,
This is Rayne Sutherland from 8-6 and I was wondering if we had to finish our maps from today?
Just like Isabeau said, I was also wondering if we had any homework today.
Thank you Monsieur Wanie

Hi there Isabeau and Rayne! Thanks for checking the blog. No homework for the weekend, there'll be plenty of work this year so don't worry! And the maps will be collected next week but you'll still have another period to work on them in class.
Hello Monsieur Wanie,
this is Jonathan Hernandez 8-7
